What Lemma does

Lemma builds healthcare-focused banking for MSO-PC groups, one interface across every professional entity and the management company, designed around the compliance patterns this structure requires rather than adapted to them after the fact. The problems it addresses are the ones documented throughout this site’s banking section: one bank login per legal entity, no cross-entity visibility, repeated KYB onboarding for every new PC, manual intercompany fee transfers, per-entity check stock for patient refunds, and the fact that no generalist bank understands why the PC’s account must not be sweepable by the MSO. getlemma.com

Why we built this wiki

We built the wiki for three reasons. First, the reference did not exist. The MSO-PC structure sits across state healthcare law, corporate formation, payer operations, and multi-entity finance. Founders assembled it from law firm alerts, forum posts, and expensive first conversations with counsel. Second, Lemma’s customers ask these questions regularly. They want to know what their state’s corporate practice of medicine rules allow, how a management services agreement (MSA) should be priced, and what a payer does with a change of ownership. Writing the answers down means we can send a customer the page instead of answering the same question in an email, and the page carries citations an email would not. Third, the wiki serves Lemma commercially. A reference people trust earns links, citations, and a reputation for knowing this structure well. Those reasons align only if the wiki stays useful to people who will never be Lemma customers.
